he Town Historical Museum is located near the restored Medieval baths, that has been turned into a museum, and the old fountain.
Together they form an interesting architectural ensemble.
The museum reflects the social-economic development of Kavarna since the 5th-6th century till 1940.
Objects representing the culture of the numerous tribes that have inhabited the border province of the Byzantine Empire, Malka Skitiya, are exposed in the museum.

The exposition lays an accent on the two big cultural-economic centers during the time of the Bulgarian kingdom and the autonomous Karvun principality in the 14th century – Kaliakra and Kavarna. The two centers had played and important role in the political life on the Balkan Peninsula.
The founders of the Bulgarian state in 681 – both proto-Bulgarians and Slavs, are represented by an important ceramic and pottery center opened in the village of Topola, near Kavarna. The numerous Venetian, Western European coins illustrate the economic and political contacts of the Karvun principality with the Black Sea and Mediterranean worlds.
